CB to probe HSC exam paper incongruity

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has ordered probe by the state Crime Branch police into the discrepancy in evaluation of answer sheets of a Matriculation candidate.
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has been directed by Justice MM Das to hand over the answer sheets of the concerned student to the Crime Branch that has been asked to submit a report by November 18.
Ms Sonali Suchismita, a student of Balasore Public School who had appeared the annual High School Certificate examinations in 2007, had approached the High Court urging the court to direct for evaluation of her answer sheets by a panel of experts.
Vetting of Mathematics and English answer sheets of the petitioner by the experts had shown discrepancies in the evaluation process.
It came to light that the answer sheets of the petitioner were grossly mishandled and while some pages of the answer sheets were missing few additional papers with a different handwriting attached to it.
