ECoR to run 8 new trains

Bhubaneswar: The railway ministry has decided to introduce eight new trains, extend four trains and increase frequency of two trains along with change of timings of 19 trains in the East Coast Railway (ECoR) with effect from November 1.
Accordingly, two daily new trains, five weekly new trains, one bi-weekly new train will be introduced, said a Press release of ECoR.
One daily new intercity train will be introduced between Rourkela and Bhubaneswar.
A daily express train will be introduced between Rourkela and Koraput and a weekly Duranto non-stop super fast express between Bhubaneswar and New Delhi.
The Duranto express train will have no commercial stoppage, leave Bhubaneswar on Sunday and depart from New Delhi on Monday.
A weekly super fast express to be introduced between Puri and Surat and another between Puri and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus of Mumbai via Sambalpur-Jharsuguda-Raigarh and Bilaspur on Tuesday and to arrive at Puri on every Friday.
A weekly express from Puri and Kamakshya on Saturday and the return train will depart from Kamakshya on Thursday.
A weekly express between Howrah and Yeshvantpur via Bhubaneswar will be introduced.
Four trains to be extended are Bhubaneswar-Raipur-Bhubaneswar, Paradip-Bhubaneswar-Paradip and the Dhauli express to be extended up to Puri.
The dates of these trains have not been finalised.
Similarly, Puri-Kendujhargarh-Puri will be extended to Barbil.
The 2443 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani will run four days a week instead of two days on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and the return train would depart from New Delhi on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday effective from November 3.
Puri-Guwahati express will leave Puri on Tuesday instead of Saturday from November 3, and the return train will depart from Guwahati on Sunday.
The timings of 19 trains have been changed from 5 minutes to 45 minutes in the new time-table.
These trains are Puri-Tirupati, Puri-Howrah Jagannath, Puri-Howrah weekly, Puri-Howrah Garib Rath Express, Bhubaneswar-Puducherry, Bhubaneswar-Chennai, Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Intercity, Sambalpur-Nizamabad, Visakhapatnam-Amritsar via Bhubaneswar-Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar-LTT Express, Puri-Hatia Tapaswini, Puri-Dhenkanal Passenger and Puri-Angul Passenger.
