RDCs to convene collectors’ meet
Bhubaneswar: Revenue and disaster management minister Surya Narayan Patra on Thursday presided over a review meeting on the current drought situation.
All the three revenue divisional commissioners (RDCs) attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the minister asked the RDCs to immediately convene the district collectors’ meetings in their respective zones and take a review meeting of the prevailing drought situations.
The survey should be done keeping the village as unit, he said.
All the RDCs have been asked to submit their report to the Special Relief Commissioner. As per the government’s decision, the crop loss assessment would be made village wise. The farmers would get the relief through the agriculture department.
Among others, member, Board of Revenue Rajalaxmi, revenue secretary RK Sharma, SRC NK Sundaray and agriculture secretary UP Singh were present at the meeting.
