8 Oriyas feared killed in cyclone in Goa sea

Bhubaneswar: Eight men from Sudargarh district were reportedly killed in cyclone ‘Phyan’ in Goa sea few days ago. The deceased were mostly daily wage labourers, sources said. They have been identified as Chitrasen Gaira, Dillip Gaira, Nanda Gaira, Lokeswar Rana, Jagdish Kisan, Jagdish Nayak and Sukru Paulsen.

The deceased had migrated Goa in search of employment, sources said. Many other Oriyas are still missing. District officials and police did not officially confirm the deaths.
