Odisha selected 10 chess players for U-7 national meet

Bhubaneswar: Ten-member State team has been selected to participate in the National U-7 chess championship to be held at Ahmedabad from December 18 to 24. Three girls and seven boys will participate in the championship. In the girls’ team, Adyasha Mohapatra, Anwesha Mishra and Saina Salonika will take part. In boys team, Subhashis Barik, Rudrakhya Parida, Ansuman Samal, Pratistha Rout, Ansuman Pujari, Ankit Prasad Dhualia and Avisek Nayak will participate in eleven round tournament. Subhashis is rated the top seed in the tournament. All the State team players are belongs to SR Chess centre. Top two finishers of both the categories will participate in the World Youth Chess championship.
