Bhubaneswar Cup football tourney begins

Bhubaneswar:In the inaugural match Utkal Sporting defeated Brahmeswar Sporting by 1-0 goal in the knockout round of the Dasarathi Naik Memorial Bhubaneswar Cup football tournament held at Indira Maidan here on Monday.
Tatun Das of the winning team scored the solitary goal in 85 minute.
Mahadev Sidhinath of the Brahmeswar team bagged man of the match award.
Among others, MP Prasanna Patasani, Naba Ranjan Patnaik, Sanju Balabanta Ray and Jagadish Nayak were present on the occasion.
The nine-day tournament is being organized by the City Club.
