Orissa Government to recruit 17,820 para-teachers to enhance primary education

Bhubaneswar (Odisha): Orissa has Government decided to recruit 17,820 para-teachers to enhance the quality of primary education in the State. This was announced by School and Mass Education Minister Pratap Jena.

He said that the Sikhya Sahayaks would be engaged in primary and upper primary schools. “We will open up another 1,703 primary schools and 928 upper primary schools in the State. Class VIII would also be opened up in the existing 5,616 upper primary schools,” he said. The teachers would be engaged at Rs 4,000 per month. Out of the 17,820 para-teachers 529 to be recruited in Angul, 941- Balasore, Baragarh- 453, Bhadrak-923, Balangiri- 443, Cuttack- 387, Dehnakanl-361, Gajapati- 405, Ganjam- 2750, Jagatsinghpur- 464, Jajpur- 1018, Jharsuguda- 334, Kalahandi-916, Kandhamal-499, Kendrapara- 343, Keonjhar- 598, Khurda- 416, Koraput-843, Malkangiri- 417, Mayurbhanj-1798, Nabarangpur-540, Nayagarh-107, Nupada-265, Puri-385, Subarnpur-88, Rayagada- 893 and Sundergarh-704.
