Russian tourist molested

Puri: In a shocking incident, a Russian tourist Lisina Nadezd (35) was allegedly molested and robbed of her belongings under the Sadar police station limits on Monday afternoon.
According to her complaint lodged with the Sea Beach police post, she came from Bhubaneswar to Puri two days ago, and was staying in Pink Hotel near the Chkratirth road.
While she was moving along the beach on a rented bicycle near Baliapanda beach a youth tried to abduct her at knife point and molested her.
When she resisted, the miscreant attacked her with a knife injuring her in the hand.
Later, the miscreant escaped with her cell phone and some currency notes.
Lisina later lodged a complaint with the police.
Since the area comes under the Sadar police station her complaint was shifted to Sadar police station and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A criminal case was registered and investigation was on.
