Orissa Chief Minister reviews progress of rural electrification in state

Report by Orissadiary correspondent; Bhubaneswar (Odisha): The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in a high level meeting on Wednesday in the Orissa secretariat has reviewed the progress of Rajiv Gandhi Bidyutkaran Youna and Biju Gram Jyoti Yojna  . As per the review meeting it is learned that 10856 villages have been electrified in Rajiv Gandhi Bidyutkaran Youna and 12000 villages will be electrified within the month of June. Similarly 8300 pada villages have been electrified in Biju Gram Jyoti Youna . Further 2700 pada villages will be electrified in Biju Gram Jyoti Yojna within end of this year. Energy Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Naik, Chief Secretary Tarun Kanti Mishra, Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister Bijaya Patnaik, Secretary of the Energy Department and Chairman of the GRIDCO were present. PHFI to set up Indian Institute of Public Health in Orissa at investment of Rs 140 crore.
